What a strange name for this lesion– Comedo. It comes and does its job! You do not know when it comes, because it is invisible to the naked eye. It quietly lies below the skin, incognito, and waits for the right conditions to form, for the eventual attack. It is a hair follicle, enlarged and plugged with fellow travelers dead skin cells, oil and bacteria! When it becomes the inflamed lesion, it is ACNE!

Is there a cure for the acne? If you are willing to accept the straight answer, there is no clear cut remedy for acne. “Prevention is better than cure,” The rule applies very well to acne. But acne can be treated, if not cured altogether. That is not to say that the acne conditions will remain for ever. I only say that acne can not be thrown out. It will go when it has to go. On many occasions of its own volition!

The story of proactive products is just a decade old. The products have created a deep impact on the acne suffering people. The great men, who created Proactive acne solutions, were no ordinary people. They were two experienced dermatologists, who wished to invent a panacea to the acne problem. After much experimenting, they formulated the process of treatment, which brought much relief to the acne suffering masses. As on date, the popularity of the Proactive products is astronomical.

The Proactive principle is attack is the best form of defense. To prevent and heal acne, the Proactive, use a combination of ingredients that work simultaneously. These ingredients do the cleaning job, on all fronts. They exfoliate skin, deal with acne causing bacteria, treat to soothe inflammation and unplug pores. Their victory ladder consists of three steps.

First, comes the cleanser. In this step benzoyl peroxide is made to penetrate, within the skin as ingredients help to unplug pores and exfoliate skin. Next, Proactive revitalizing toner is ready to take over to unclog pores and remove dead skin cells. Now comes the repairing lotion that helps benzoyl peroxide to seep deep in to the skin pores and initiative a decisive battle against the acne causing bacteria.

There is a fond hope among all concerned about acne, that the Proactive approach to treat acne, will go down in the history as one of the best approaches to the subject. Fortunately or unfortunately, that happens with many products and situations. Today’s Captain finds it difficult to get a place in the team after the lapse of some years! If a better product takes over the Proactive combination?well and good. Until such time, let the kind king of acne medicines rule!

Much ado about nothing! That’s what you feel at times, when you read thousands of pages about treating acne. You get totally confused by having a look at the multitude of over the counter products for acne treatment. Each supposed to be better than the other! Among all this confusion, votaries of the proactive acne treatments are gaining in number.

There is another reason for support for proactive skin care products. When you recall the suffering you underwent, in treating acne, that too without adequate benefits, you feel encouraged to support the alternative method. They waited in the wings to take over.

The vast number of satisfied customers boost the market for proactive skin care products.

A medicine that works on the acne problem of one individual, will not work on the other. But proactive acne solution gets the nod from a large number of acne sufferers and they tell you about marked improvements in skin quality. For any product to find genuine acceptance in the market, it needs to have the real merit. It must address to the problem sincerely.

Proactive acne treatment is based on basic skin care products- toner, cleanser and repairing lotion. With these products, a good combination therapy is developed. The collective might of these three products confronts acne successfully in majority of the cases. The top quality of Proactive products is that they are neither harsh nor astringent. Therefore, they don’t dry out your skin.

With Proactive acne treatment you get soft and healthy skin. This indeed is the bonus and helps to increase the popularity of the natural ways of curing acne.

All in all, what matters most in the realm of acne treatment, is your proper understanding of acne condition. You can get a firm view about this, only after consulting your dermatologist.

The expensive treatment need not be the best. Excessive medication may also result in complications. Some types of mild attacks of acne may not require any treatment as such at all. Just take care of your face, and don’t wash it with hard and astringent soaps unnecessarily. Many natural treatments go well in case you have sensitive skin. The fear of side effects is not there as far as natural skin products are concerned.

Acne medication is available in two forms – prescription and over-the-counter treatment. Please make sure that you visit your doctor for a proper diagnosis of the skin condition before using either of these two methods.

Mild forms of the pimples can be cured using home remedies. Prescription drugs are usually advised for moderate or severe acne.

The medication is intended to target the following areas during the course of treatment:

Preventing blockage of the pores
Reducing swelling and redness of the affected areas
Killing the existing blemishes
Treating the hormones that cause the diseasePrescription Preparations

Acne medication listed here must be taken after your doctor’s prescription. These medicines have been successful in many cases.

Topical Medicines

Topical medicines are applied on the affected skin. They must be used only after washing the skin properly with warm water and a mild soap.

Azelaic acid is a sterile agent and may also reduce inflammation.
Antibiotics likes Clindamycin, Erythromycin must be applied to the affected areas twice every day. Remember to wash the area with a mild cleanser and soap. Pat the skin dry.
Tretinoin application is gradually increased from once as day to twice a day. However, you should not expose yourself to sunlight when using tretinoin as it can cause skin inflammation. Oral Medicines

Oral acne medication is taken systemically and must not be tried without the doctor’s prescription.

Corticosteroids reduce soreness and reduce body resistance so that the medicine can take its effect.
Tetracycline treatment starts with higher doses and the intake is later tapered off gradually.
Erythromycin functions like tetracycline. However, it can be taken orally or topically. It reduces inflammation as well as blemishes.
Birth Control Pills and Estrogens are given to women who develop acne as a result of excessive male hormones in their system. These drugs reduce the effects of those hormones, hence reducing acne.
Accutane should be used only in severe cases of the skin problem as it can have considerable side effects in pregnant women.Over-The-Counter Medications

Benzoyl Peroxide peels the skin of the blemish to heal it internally. It forms an important ingredient in face masks, lotions and creams that claim to cure acne and acne-related problems.
Salicylic Acid is known to be an effective way to get rid of those unwanted eruptions on your skin. It is an over-the-counter product; however, you must consult your doctor if its use causes excessive irritation.
Sulfur is a skin-peeling agent that kills the dead skin and scrapes it off, giving your pimple, a better chance to heal itself.

Apart from the options mentioned above, there are many other treatments available in the market. However, you need to keep one thing in mind before you reject a treatment; acne medication hardly shows improvement in the first two or three weeks. So give the treatment a little time before discarding your acne medication. Remember, acne cures take time, but nonetheless they are effective.

Want to get rid of that acne as soon as possible? Well now you can! Grab a hold of Chris Gibson’s ‘Acne Free in 3 Days’ and follow these few simple steps to achieve that gorgeous complexion that you’ve always wanted!
Chris Gibson’s eBook on getting rid of acne contains valuable information offering natural acne treatments. He reveals secrets on how to naturally remove acne using a simple detoxification diet. A detoxification diet is essentially cleansing your body of all its unwanted toxins and push out all the waste material. These are the toxins and waste materials that cause acne and other skin problems. Not only is this detoxification diet simple to follow, the natural ingredients of it can be found in your local grocery store or even your very own home!

Here are just some additional tips to aid the effectiveness of ‘Acne Free in 3 Days’. Since the diet encourages nutritious natural foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, juice, and much more, getting rid of your acne won’t be as hard as you thought! It is not very easy to live on a very healthy diet but to get rid of your acne, bad eating habits must be corrected. For example, you must cut out junk food, many dairy products, and even white bread to clear up your face. Switch from junk food to healthy fruits, drink milk or have yogurt instead of ice cream, and have wheat bread instead of white!

Along with your eating habits, your lifestyle must change too. If you’re not an active being, start taking a walk everyday in the morning or indulge yourself in lots of outdoor activities in the sun. Getting lots of fresh air and sunshine gives you Vitamin D which is essential for healthy skin. To have an even bigger impact, getting fresh air gives oxygen to your body and mind for revitalization. However, remember to use sun block protection lotion. This avoids dead skin cells (sunburn) from blocking skin pores and causing more acne.

Water is another important factor in getting rid of acne. With a sufficient amount of water in your body, it dehydrates. Dehydration causes dead skins cells to not shed properly, which causes more blocked pores leading to more acne.

Eating and living healthy positively alters the imbalances in your body, giving you a more radiant look and feel to your body and especially your face.

So remember that proper lifestyle changes equal to a proper treatment.

Acne is considered to be a problem of the adolescence. It affects teenagers mostly because it is primarily caused by hormonal imbalance, which occurs during the growing up years. However, this does not mean that the grown ups are immune to the problem. Men and women of all ages are susceptible to the problem. The basic fact is that it can catch up with amazing swiftness to even those who reach the age of 40, or more.

Acne In Men

Among men, there are a number of factors that can cause acne. Excessive secretion of oil and clogged pores are the basic cause of acne. Those who have oily skin are prone to the problem. So, if you have oily skin and your job demands you to stay in dusty environment, the likelihood of your developing acne problem is heightened manifold irrespective of age.

A substandard shaving cream may also cause acne. The same goes for after shave lotions. So, you need to take care of a few things. Use a fresh, good quality blade every time you shave, and use a good shaving cream.

Another cause of acne is stress. The hectic lives we lead today bring stress as a byproduct. This could be a reason for your acne. This does not mean that stress necessarily causes acne. Whether or not the stress would cause acne depends upon whether or not your skin is prone to acne. You have to be extra careful if you have been a teenager with the extended period of acne problem or you suffered from severe acne during your growing up years.

Acne In Women

So far as women are concerned, they are prone to acne at all those stages where they undergo hormonal changes. Acne, therefore, is likely to breakout during pregnancy and around the time of menopause because during these stages hormonal levels fluctuate.

Therefore, it is prudent that the women who are prone to acne prepare themselves beforehand by arming themselves with information and medical advice before the pregnancy and menopause.

Acne, therefore, is not simply a teenager’s problem. It might affect the elders too. Thus, it is important that you are prepared and not taken by surprise when acne breaks out.

It's painful enough to withstand the pressure of acne on the face to find a resurgence in the chest! Chest acne is a common problem among people of all ages. The lesions in the breast that is painful to keep their clothes, which stings in the process! Imagine yourself at the office, desperately itching their way through, while in a meeting with your boss! Yes, acne on his chest now definitely sounds like a threat! However, while you have a 101E "Acne Getaway" with you in the chest acne can never be a threat. This natural treatment lotion will act as your shield, preventing skin improvement resurgent, and also by magic in a short period of time. Punishing the chest Acne One way to cure your acne on your chest would be completely rid of her figure hugging equipment, supplementing yourself of your closet and fill his place with the fixture and loose! As terrible as this option sounds, in fact, there are medical treatments for acne on the chest, where doctors may recommend the use of 2% salicylic acid as a cleanser of the body during a shower and then use light breathable fabrics like cotton and linen. And that's not all. At night, you have to apply benzoyl peroxide its defects with care. However, this is a very tedious process and takes about four weeks of your precious! Sometimes, in severe cases, even doctors advise patients to take antibiotics, which are definitely not good for your health. These lotions take time because they work in the affected and cured and then stop the new return.
