If you believe that acne is a problem only teenagers and adults face, think again. Babies may also have signs of acne. It could have breaks in 2-3 weeks after birth. Baby acne is more common in the facial region on the chin (the cheeks and forehead) and can even have back acne at this early stage of life. Baby acne should not be confused with milia or eczema. To prevent acne, make sure you're not using detergents to wash clothes for your baby. Some detergents may contain harsh chemicals that can aggravate the skin. Wipe away any food, drinks, or saliva that may leak from the mouth of her baby and that baby can worsen acne. Always ensure that the baby's face is cleaned with mild soap and water every day. Do not try to wash her face because the baby's skin is so sensitive and washing may cause redness. Do not use oils and lotions are not recommended by your doctor.
